Photography and exploration projects
Photography is also a tool to document biodiversity and support exploration. I contribute to citizen science initiatives such as DORIS / FFESSM and take part in caving expeditions.
Aigualluts · Sistema Escaleta–Toro
In 2026, I contributed to the exploration campaign of the Escaleta–Toro cave system near Aigualluts and Benasque, alongside SIES and Espeleo Club Sabadell. The expedition on 26 September focused on exploring the sump at entrance A13 and investigating possible extensions of the system. My contribution combined carrying cylinders and equipment with photographic documentation of the cave divers’ preparations and the support team’s work. The dives enabled progress through new passages and reached two air chambers, opening up further exploration objectives for future expeditions.
Exhibitions and outreach
CIMASUB exhibition · San Sebastián · 2026–2027
My photograph has been selected for the exhibitions of the 50th edition of CIMASUB 2026, the International Underwater Film Festival of San Sebastián, and will be included in the CIMASUB TOUR 2026/27. The image shows a scorpionfish trapped in a fishing net in Sant Andreu de Llavaneres (Barcelona), highlighting the danger that lost fishing gear poses to marine wildlife.
The festival will take place in San Sebastián on 12, 13 and 14 November 2026. The exhibition tour will also bring the photograph to audiences in different towns.

Exhibition: Marine biodiversity of the Fòrum · UB · 2024
I contributed photographs to the exhibition Biodiversitat marina del Fòrum (Barcelona), presented at the Universitat de Barcelona in 2024. Linked to the DIVA project, the exhibition brings together images of the Fòrum’s marine biodiversity and highlights underwater photography as a tool for outreach.
The FECDAS announcement credits the photographs to @mediterranean_species, @romu_freediving_photography, @loreto_rs, @ealcaniz and @ricard.domingo, and mentions ANERIS and MINKA Catalunya.

ExpoNatura · Universitat de Barcelona · 2023
As a member of Club d’Immersió Biologia (CIB), I contributed to ExpoNatura 2023 with a selection of six underwater photographs taken in the Philippines. The series features nudibranchs, a goby, a clownfish and a frogfish, bringing marine biodiversity closer through photography.
